Eye Care Bloomington
LASIK Appointments:
Refractive Screening: Initial appointment that includes education and your first set of testing to determine candidacy. First, we will obtain your prescription and medical history to make sure they fall within the treatment parameters. Next, using state of the art technology, the Bausch & Lomb OrbScan will determine your corneal thickness and topography, which are crucial elements for a successful surgery. Once candidacy is determined we will educate you on options that are available to reduce your dependency on glasses and contacts.
Dr. Evaluation/Pre-operative Exam: Primary exam with doctor to determine which LASIK & Beyond option is best for you. We will complete additional testing which will include pupil dilation. Dilation can last up to 24 hours after the exam. Please remember to remove your contacts prior to your exam. Guidelines are stated below.
LASIK Surgery: Takes place at Riverside Medical Center’s outpatient special procedures lab on the first floor (400 N. Wall St., Kankakee). Check in for your surgery at our office. You will need to arrange for a driver after surgery and may leave shortly after the procedure is complete.
Post Operative Exams: All remaining post-operative visits will take place at our office after your surgery. All post operative checks are included in your pricing.
